This calculator is a financial monitoring tool for a company, which allows the user to input 10 financial data points and select the company’s sector. When the “Calculate” button is pressed, the script calculates six financial ratios based on the input data, and compares them with industry benchmarks for the selected sector.
The 10 financial inputs are: Revenue, Cost of Goods Sold, Gross Profit, Operating Expenses, Operating Income, EBITDA, Net Income, Total Assets, Total Liabilities, and Equity. The six calculated financial ratios are: Gross Margin, Operating Margin, EBITDA Margin, Net Profit Margin, Return on Assets (ROA), and Return on Equity (ROE).
The script allows the user to select one of three sectors: Manufacturing, Retail, or Technology. Based on the sector selected, a benchmark for each of the six financial ratios is chosen.
The tool then displays the six financial ratios, their benchmark values, and the difference between the company’s values and the benchmark values in a table. Additionally, it generates a bar chart that visually compares the company’s values to the benchmark values.
Overall, this tool provides a quick and easy way for users to monitor the financial health of their company and compare their performance with industry benchmarks.
